چکیده
This paper investigates the behavior of a new form V-shaped shear connector. The assessment proposed connector’s performance is conducted through an experimental work fourteen push-out tests. results show that developed connector able to transfer higher load than conventional connectors. In addition, its considered as ductile. Geometrical parameters are studied observe their influence on behavior. outcomes changing length, width, and thickness significantly affects ultimate strength while connector's ductile preserved. Furthermore, proves neither creating holes nor adding transverse reinforcement has significant effect resistance uplift-displacement improved. A comprehensive comparison between commonly used connectors executed. Based results, empirical equation suggested predict capacity

Experimental Investigation on Cyclic Behavior of Butterfly-shaped Links Steel Plate Shear Walls
An innovative type called "butterfly-shaped links steel plate shear wall (BLSPSW)" was proposed as a lateral load resisting system. In this novel system, by creating butterfly-shaped links in the four sides of the web plate, the lateral load resisting mechanism is not the development of a diagonal tension field on the web plate (similar to Conventional SPSWs), but the capacity of the system is ...
متن کاملAn Investigation into Resonant Frequency of Triangular V-Shaped Cantilever Piezoelectric Vibration Energy Harvester
Power supply is a bottle-neck problem of wireless micro-sensors, especially where the replacement of batteries is impossible or inconvenient. Now piezoelectric material is being used to harvest vibration energy for self-powered sensors. However, the geometry of a piezoelectric cantilever beam will greatly affect its vibration energy harvesting ability. This paper deduces a remarkably precise an...
متن کاملInvestigation of Demagnetization Effect in an Interior V-Shaped Magnet Synchronous Motor at Dynamic and Static Conditions
Permanent magnet motors have been considered for a variety of applications due to their features such as high power density and high efficiency. One of the issues that should be investigated in the design of these motors is the demagnetization problem. Usually, the demagnetization analysis is carried out in a steady state, while demagnetization effect in dynamic condition is more considerable d...
متن کاملInvestigation of Keel Curvature Effect on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of a V-Shaped Planing Surface
In this paper, three-dimensional two phase turbulent free surface flow is solved by an in-house code. The incompressible Reynolds average Navier-Stocks equations (RANS) with k-ε turbulence model are solved by the finite volume method in the non-orthogonal curvilinear coordinates. For the modeling of the free surface effect, Lagrangian propagation volume tracking method (VOF-PLIC) is used. The c...
متن کاملDesign, numerical simulation and experimental investigation of an SU-8 microgripper based on the cascaded V-shaped electrothermal actuators
This paper presents the numerical simulation results and the experimental investigations of a polymeric microgripper designed using the cascaded V-shaped electrothermal actuators. The microgripper was simulated using electro-thermo-mechanical finite element method (FEM) based on Coventorware 2014 software in order to check the performance of the gripper. As structural material of the microgripp...
